JACKSONVILLE BARN CO.
A Photo-blog, by Gerean Pflug, The Oregon Pick
What wonderful outing I had today ~
I got to spend an hour or so
hanging out with husband and wife team,
John & Erin Buda, owners of The Jacksonville Barn Co. (JBC) “A Unique Collective”
3,000 sq. ft and 2 floors of unique eye candy
located at 150 S. Oregon Street in the heart of historic Jacksonville, Oregon
What a treat.
The Budas were gracious, welcoming, energetic and really fun to get to know,
even sharing with me the affection of Wilson, the beloved feline mascot of the shop.
The Budas were excited to talk about the development of the store,
share their excitement about
the completion of their recent, extensive, renovation/remodel
as well as to fill me in on their upcoming plans and events.
JBC caters predominantly to those with taste for
unique, upscale, vintage chic and sense-inducing merchandise
Candles and other beautifully scented luxuries can be found throughout the store,
including upper-level brand names such as
Tocca, Thymes and Trapp
the store is beautifully staged
offering a diverse product line
of Upcycled, Repurposed, Vintage, Handmade & New Custom.
JBC Houses 5 Independent Vendors,
who instead of vending from booths, merchandise and stage entire rooms.
The keen eye for design is evident everywhere
and is intriguingly diverse in style from vendor to vendor.

The Budas, met while John, a native of Eagle Point, OR, was attending college at San Diego State. After school, the two travelled the country for a time, before deciding to put down solid roots in Jacksonville, OR in 2008. They set about immediately developing a plan that would allow for Erin’s mother to eventually relocate as well. In November of 2009, JBC opened it’s doors to the public and has been achieving steady success ever since. After 2 1/2 years in business, Frani, Erin’s mother will be relocating to run the store in November of this year. “I am so excited to have the help and finally be able to spend quality time networking, developing our online presence and writing our blog.” stated Erin, who’s blog is newly up (see link below).
Event sponsoring and working in conjunction with other businesses are among the Buda’s preferred ways to increase interest and build clientelle for their store.
The public is invited to attend JBC’s Spring Open House on April 27th ~
Just minutes from Medford and approximately 1/2 hour from Ashland, OR,
Jacksonville is an easy shopping destination.
Locals and out-of-town visitors alike will not want to miss the opportunity to experience Jacksonville Barn Co..
With the winter passed, the store is open 7 days per week.

I love the saying, “Do what you love ~ Love what you do.”
Erin & John Buda put this phrase into total action
in the way they are chosing to live the life they love and love the life they live.
It’s inspiring !
